Malgorzata Bany and Tycjan Knut
Nestled amongst derelict buildings, garages and dilapidated artists studios, at the very end of a dead-end back street in North London, is the home of artists Malgorzata Bany and Tycjan Knut. This tranquil oasis is a first floor warehouse live/ work studio that the couple have tirelessly renovated - painting over sticky black walls, cleaning away old dust and grime, fitting a kitchen themselves and hanging floor to ceiling white linen to create a beautiful, calm, minimalist’s dream. They have a studio each within the space and also a loosely defined and ever changing living area, kitchen and bedroom. Their home also acts like a gallery for their work. Malgorazata Bany works with jesmonite and crosses the genres of sculpture, furniture and homewares and Tycjan Knut is an abstract painter.
